LA CAPANNINA
is a must when visiting Capri: for its wordly atmosphere and for its
delicious food. This is the place to taste the traditional dishes of
the island: spaghetti with seafood, small octopus " drowned "
in sauce, fresh fried anchovies, swordfish or prickly lettuce roulade,
and stuffed aubergines. But the specialities that " La Capannina
" is famous for are: linguine or bavette with a redfish sauce,
which have a strong flavour of the sea, the squid stuffed with fresh
caciotta cheeses and marjoram, the " Pezzogna " - a variety
of sea bream - cooked whole in the oven in a copper casserole and covered
with a thin crunchy layer of potatoes. You will spend around 50 euros.
